Operandio App — Recommended Devices

For shared kiosks, we recommend an Apple iPad (9th generation or newer) or a Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ (or newer/better). The specific models that meet that baseline are listed below.

Apple iPad (iPadOS)

The recommended baseline is the standard iPad, 9th generation or newer. Any of these models — and any newer iPad released since — will run the app well.

Also suitable (higher tier, "newer/better"): Current iPad Air, iPad Pro, and iPad mini models all exceed the recommended baseline and are fully compatible.

Samsung Galaxy Tab (Android)

The recommended baseline is the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+. Unlike the iPad line, Samsung's tablets don't run in a single numbered sequence, so the models are grouped by tier — the A9+ is the entry baseline, and the higher-spec Galaxy Tab S range is the "newer/better" step up.

Any Galaxy Tab at the A9+ level or in the S range above — and any newer model released since — will run the app well.

Mobile Phones (individual use)

Operandio's recommended kiosk devices are the tablets listed above. For staff who use the app on their own phone, both platforms are fully supported (the app is on the App Store and Google Play). There is no published phone-model baseline from Operandio, so the list below is a general "runs comfortably on" guideline, not an official requirement.

iPhone (iOS) — any iPhone running a current, supported version of iOS. As a practical guide:

Android phones — any phone running a current, supported Android version (roughly Android 12 or newer). As a practical guide:

Older or lower-spec phones may still run the app, but recent mid-range or flagship models give the best experience.

Notes

Tablets are recommended over phones for shared, wall-mounted, or bench-top kiosk stations.
The models above are the minimum recommended baseline — newer or higher-spec devices on the same platform also work well.
Standardising on one platform across a site (all iPad, or all Samsung) keeps rollout, mounting, and support simpler.
